Edward Legare Hoover

Edward Legare Hoover, 94, of Summerville passed away peacefully on January 9, 2025. 

A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at 2 o’clock at Live Oak Memorial Gardens, 3093 Ashley River Rd, Charleston, SC 29414. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in honor of Edward to Summerville Baptist Church, 417 Central Ave, Summerville, SC 29483. 

Edward was born on April 23, 1930 in Ridgeville, SC to the late Lex and Victoria Hoover. He loved traveling with his wife Ann, going to Asheville, NC, and doing mission work and disaster relief with his Summerville Baptist Hardee Boys. He will be missed dearly by many. 

Edward is survived by his sons, Dwayne E. Hoover (Cyndi) of Monks Corner, SC, J. Scott Hoover of Summerville, SC; daughter, Theresa Blackburn (Dwaine) of New Hope, SC; along with seven grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth Ann Hoover; and parents, Lex and Victoria Hoover.
