Elisabeth M. Grimsley

Elisabeth M. Grimsley, 100, of Summerville, SC, passed away Sunday, August 25, 2024.

Funeral Services will be Thursday afternoon, August 29, 2024 at 2 o’clock in Stallsville United Methodist Church. Entombment will follow in Summerville Cemetery Mausoleum. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 o’clock until 8 o’clock at Parks Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made in Mrs. Grimsley’s name be made to Stallsville UMC or a charity of your choice.

Elisabeth was born February 29, 1924 in Germany, the daughter of Ludwig and Ann Mayer. She owned Flowertown Florist and loved gardening.

She leaves behind her children, Reinhardt “Buck” Grimsley, Angela G. Lange, Judith K. Ervin, and Barbara A. Grimsley, all of Summerville, SC; grandchildren, John Lange, Jr., Elizabeth Wilfinger, Laura Guthrie, Holly Lange, and Valerie Walter; and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Inge. In addition to her husband, Joseph B. Grimsley, she is predeceased by her parents, Ludwig and Ann Mayer; brother, Barth Ludwig Mayer; and sister, Annie Epp.
