Elizabeth Mims Carpenter died peacefully at her home in Summerville, on Monday, May 9, 2022.

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2022 starting at 11:30 at Carolina Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends the night before from 6 o'clock to 8 o'clock at Parks Funeral Home.

She was born on September 8, 1948 in Charleston, South Carolina to the late Sinclair and Evelyn Mims. She was the widow of Ralph I. Carpenter, Jr.

Elizabeth is survived by her daughters; Dana Coleman (Tony), Tracy Brown (James); sons, Ralph Carpenter III, Don Carpenter (Donna); sisters, Dorothy Anderson, Carla Krotke; brother, Carl Mims; grandchildren, Marissa Snyman (Wikus), Sarah Myers, Jacob Myers; great-grandchildren, Emery and Declan. She is predeceased by her granddaughter, Amanda Carpenter; sister, Shirley Leech; and son, Kenneth Carpenter.
