A devoted wife and loving mother, Elizabeth Anne Harrison, 73, of Summerville, SC, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2026.
Elizabeth, who was known as “Anne” by family and friends, was born on March 27, 1953, in Nassawadox, VA. She was the daughter of the late Brooks Willie Stevens and Lena Leslie Stevens. Anne graduated from Northampton High School in 1971 and continued her education by pursuing nursing studies. She was then able to use her proclivity for caring and nurturing as an LPN. Anne married Rogers Harrison in 1972 and was able to travel abroad with her husband during his service in the United States Air Force. Anne also worked as a newspaper advertiser for the Herndon Observer, and was a medical office administrator at Leesburg Sterling Family Practice until she retired in 2020. Though her days were full, she remained active in many other pursuits. Anne also was an active member of the Herndon Elementary School PTA, a volunteer at the Herndon United Methodist Church, and embraced the role of a stay-at-home mom for several years.
Anne was an avid reader, an ardent supporter of animals in need, enjoyed sewing, and a devoted enthusiast of cats. She delighted in going on cruises, cherishing the experiences and building memories with her husband. Anne was also a philanthropist who made donations whenever she could to local animal rescues and adoption events.
Anne leaves behind her husband, Rogers Harrison of Summerville, SC and her daughter, Kimberly Harrison (Melanie) of Cross Junction, VA as well as her beloved cats, Shadow and Buttercup. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her brother, Brooks Thomas Stevens.
Anne will be honored by the memories she leaves behind. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Dorchester Paws, 136 Four Paws Lane, Summerville, SC 29483.
