Faye Elaine (Wright) Bauman

Faye Elaine Wright Bauman, 76, of Summerville, SC, passed away Friday, January 12, 2018 around 11:15 pm at Summerville Medical Center, after a long illness.

Interment will be at a later date, in her home state of Georgia, next to her parents. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the United Methodist Church in Woodbury, Georgia.

Faye was born in Jefferson, Georgia on January 17, 1941. Faye has been a resident of Summerville for 46 years, having moved from Orange Park, FL in 1972. She attended both North Georgia College and the University of Georgia, where she graduated with honors in 1962. Faye began her career as a teacher in Charlotte, NC in 1962, Jackson County Georgia in 1963, then Pinewood School in Summerville. She eventually moved her teaching career to Berkeley County, SC. She taught at St. Stephen and at Timberland High School, after St. Stephen closed. She retired from Timberland HS around 2006 after 30 years of teaching. 

She is survived by: A. Charles (Skip) Bauman, her husband of 57 years; two granddaughters, Elizabeth Faye Bauman and Chelsie Nicole Spelich of Summerville; her brother, Dennis H. Wright and his wife Susan A. Wright of St. Augustine, FL; two nieces Leigh B. Scibetta, Ivey W. Hill; and one nephew Carl Wright.
