Gail Lee Thrush, 71, wife of David Leon Thrush, of Summerville, passed away on Wednesday, August 25, 2021.

The relatives and friends of Gail Thrush are invited to attend her visitation from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Sunday, August 29, 2021, at Parks Funeral Home, 130 West 1st North Street, Summerville, SC 29483. Gail was born in Reed City, Michigan on July 9, 1950. She was the daughter of Edsel and Betty Sebring.

Gail was a respected Allstate Insurance Agent for over 30 years. Over those 30 years, she never once received a customer complaint, a true testament to her character. Additionally, Gail raised three daughters and a son while supporting her husband, a 20-year retired veteran of the US Navy.  She was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she taught Primary/Sunday School over the course of her lifetime. Gail took great joy in singing in church with her family. Gail’s hobbies included cheering on her grandkids in all their extracurricular activities, including baseball, basketball, soccer, Choir, Band, and recitals of all kinds. She proudly attended all awards ceremonies for her grandkids as well. Gail also enjoyed visiting her daughter’s farm where she learned to ride horses, feed baby goats, and even helped to tame a mule. She had many great memories on the farm, including when she saw a wild mustang for the first time. One of Gail’s favorite hobbies was coaching basketball at Bethany United Methodist Church with two of her daughters for over seven years. When she wasn’t doing any of these things, on many weekends Gail could be found traveling I95 on a road trip to Florida to visit her 94-year-old mother. She loved to create beautiful things, including drawings of her favorite flower, the sunflower, music on the guitar and piano, and any other crafts that brought her joy. She collected bells, music boxes, and beautiful memories with her loved ones.

Survivors in addition to her husband David include her son Jereomy Thrush (Katie) of Statesville, North Carolina, Daughters Krista Rodgers (John) of Smoak, SC, Tanya Franca (Luiz) of Greenville, SC and Angela Bunch (Anthony) of Dorchester, SC. Her ten grandchildren include Trae Bunch, Ethan Franca, Kaden Thrush, Anden Bunch, Brennan Thrush, Elsy Franca, Nicole Franca, Leon Franca, Sophie Franca and Robbie. She is also survived by her mother, Betty Stemn, sister Rose Gray and brother Eugene Sebring.

Gail was predeceased by her father, Edsel Sebring.
