Gerald Clyde Evans, 72, of Summerville, SC, husband of Vicki Thompson Evans, passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2025.

Gerald was born February 12, 1952 in Charleston, SC, a son of the late James Hilburn Evans and Martha Susan Oliver. He worked as a carpenter and enjoyed gardening, building, and could ride and fix anything with wheels. He loved his family and being outdoors in nature. He could never sit still, always making or building something, and will always be known as a tinker.
In addition to his wife, Vicki Jane Evans of Summerville, SC, Gerald leaves behind his daughter, Jammi Terese Montana of Summerville, SC; brother, Chris Evans of Fayetteville, NC; sisters, Leila O’Neal of Summerville, SC and Linda Kessler of St. George, SC; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents.
