Geraldine Marie Cartwright

Geraldine Marie Cartwright, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, peacefully passed away at home on June 16, 2024 at the age of 78.

Geraldine was born June 9, 1946 in Grand Rapids, MI. She lived a life full of love, dedication, and service to her family and friend

Geraldine, was known affectionately as “Gerri” to her family and friends. She was a devoted mother to her daughter Tonya and her dog Cesar. She was a cherished grandmother to six grandchildren, Alexandria Finley (Dillon), Ashleigh Kerrigan, Myles Irick, Skylar Allen (Kayla), Andrew Kerrigan (Lauryn), and Asia Allen; nine great-grandchildren, Cayden, Kyleigh, Jaxson, Sadie, Ziggy, Damian, O’Shea, Micah, and Cooper. Her family was the center of her world. Gerri has two surviving siblings, Patricia Vander Ploeg and David Czanopys. She was also a special friend to Holly Fassett (Presler) and Abigail Ring.

Gerri had a passion for traveling and reading. She also loved going to the beach and spending time and laughing with family and friends. Her love for nature and literature was a testament to her inquisitive mind and gentle soul.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David Cartwright and her great-grandson, Cooper. Gerri will be deeply missed by all that knew her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and laughter will continue to inspire and guide those who were fortunate enough to have been part of her life.
