Helen Marie Rowell Thomason of Summerville, SC passed away peacefully on Friday, March 29, 2024. The relatives and friends of Helen Thomason are invited to attend her Funeral Service at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at Parks Funeral Home Chapel, 130 W. 1st North Street, Summerville, SC 29483. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the time of service on Wednesday. Flowers are accepted or donations to the Daughters of the Nile Foundation. Helen was born in Charleston, SC, on December 14,1943. to the late Harry and Betty Rowell. She had her Bachelor’s in education and retired from Caterpillar. Helen was a member of Milcah Temple No. 77 Daughters of the Nile. She married Walter G. Thomason in 1962 and had 3 sons. Helen loved taking pictures, baking cakes and was a big animal lover especially birds. She is survived by her sons, Michael Thomason (Melissa) of Summerville, Brian Thomason of New York and Randall Thomason (Tina) of Reevesville; her 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren, and her sisters, Judith Pye and Libby Skorupski of PCB, Florida.
