Herbert Gesling Obituary
Herbert “Goose” Gesling, 94, of Cottageville, SC passed into eternal life March 7, 2025 with family at his side.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 10AM at Parks Funeral Home, 130 West 1st North Street, Summerville, SC 29483.
The son of Louis and Bertha (Hartung) Gesling, he was born January 25, 1931 in Salisbury, Missouri. He married Augusta “Rosa” (Roberts) June 19, 1954 in Ridgeville, SC.
Goose was preceded in death by his parents; Wife, one son, Robert “Bobby” Daniel; four brothers, Richard F., Eldon “Bud” William, Albert Louis Gesling, and Gene Kenneth; two sisters, Gertrude M. Dennis, and Ruby M. Dunbar; one granddaughter, Heather M. Johnson.
Goose is survived by two sons, Herbert Michael Gesling, Joseph Marshall Gesling (Sr); daughter-in-law Lisa Gesling three grandsons, Marshall (Michele) Gesling, Britt (Nicole) Gesling, Brent (Mary-Helen) Gesling; eight great-grandchildren, Katelyn Gesling, Dylan Gesling, Liam Gesling, Jackson Gesling, Ginny Gesling, Rylan Johnson, Raelyn Johnson and Cole Wood: one great-great-grandchild, Madilyn Wood.
Goose touched the lives of many and will forever be remembered and loved.
