Hilda Mae (Long) Tant

Hilda Mae Long Tant, 88, of Summerville, SC, widow of O.M. Tant, went to be with the lord on March 20, 2023 while at home with her family.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 11 o’clock at Summerville Baptist Church, 417 Central Ave, Summerville, SC 29483. The family will receive friends for a visitation an hour before the service. Burial will follow at Summerville Cemetery. 

Hilda was born on September 23, 1934 in Southport, NC and is the daughter of Carl C. Long Sr. and Nancy L. Long. She was a graduate of Summerville High School and a longtime member of Summerville Baptist Church. She previously worked at John Couch Tax Service and Newington Elementary School.

Hilda is survived by her two daughters; Christie Drummond of Summerville, and Paula Cooper of Summerville; sister, Linda Long of Summerville; granddaughters, Jennifer Drummond of Charleston, Ashton Stover of Summerville, Megan Travis of Sumter, Kayla Cooper of Raleigh; great-grandsons, Cameron Stover, Caden Stover, and Flynn Travis. She is predeceased by her two brothers, Carl C. Long, Jr. of Summerville, and Lee H. Long of Summerville.
