Isabella Farace Obituary

Isabella Farace (nee Bernazki) was born in Kiev, Ukraine January 16, 1943 to Maria Yanovich Bernazki-Armanas and Raimund Bernazki. Her life began January 1943 in Kiev, Ukraine (USSR at the time). During WWII at the age of one, she escaped with her parents from the Ukraine to Germany where her only sibling, Petia Bernazky was born, then to Poland, Austria, and Italy until 1949 when they were fortunate enough to emigrate to Brasil. She grew up in Brasil and moved with her family at the age of 16 to Baltimore, Maryland. Thrust into a new life, learning yet another new language (she spoke 5!).

Isabella graduated from Southerner High School, Class of 61, and subsequently worked for Trailways as a hostess, then as a dance instructor at the Arthur Murray Dance Studio. It was there that she met the love of her life and soulmate, Jimmy Farace, married 58 years. Isabella, Bella to those close to her, was a beautiful and a descendent of Czar Nicholas. She led a fairytale life with her husband traveling the world, raising two children, supporting his business and political aspirations, professionally decorating cakes, attending endless social events, hosting parties, and entertaining celebrities. Her love of travel inspired her to become a travel agent and eventually she opened her own company, All Countries Travel, in Rosedale MD. She loved to travel and she lived to share that passion with the clients she served for more than 20 years. She eventually moved from MD to SC with her husband, and daughter’s family.

She passed peacefully in her home, surrounded by those that loved her. She is survived by her loving daughter, Charmayne Bella Weatherford (Jadean) of Summerville, SC and son, James Leonard Farace of New Freedom, PA. Doting granddaughters: Krista DeMicco (Rick) of Summerville, SC; Kayla Ward (Jamie Howell) of Stuart, FL; Sophia Weatherford of Summerville, SC; younger brother Petia Bernazky (Magaly) of San Antonio, TX, beloved sister-in-law Mary Distel of Woodbine; Morgan Farace of New Freedom, PA, and numerous nieces and nephews. Bella is
predeceased by her husband, James Michael Farace (4/21/2023) and her parents.

A Celebration of Life will be held at her Summerville home and thereafter, interment along with her husband at New Cathedral Cemetery in Baltimore, Maryland. All arrangements have been wonderfully handled by Parks Funeral Home, 130 West 1st North Street, Summerville, SC, 29483. www.parksfuneralhome.com
