James Thomas (Tommy) Ross

James Thomas “Tommy” Ross, 62, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2025. Born in Decatur, GA, he was a son of the late James Francis Ross and Kathryn Merline Searcy.

Tommy had a lifelong devotion to God and serving in ministry. He spent his days as a career service technician, and spent his evenings painting landscapes on canvas and enjoying a nightly bowl of ice cream. Tommy was known for having an impeccable mustache, for giving great hugs, and proudly celebrating his Scottish heritage. He will be remembered as a loving husband and father to his blended family. 

Tommy is survived by his wife of almost 20 years, Nancy Hanbury Darley; children, Stephen and Stephanie; his mother, Kathryn; brothers, Kenneth and Matthew; and bonus children, Jonathan, Michael, Timothy, and Sarah. He is preceded in death by his father. 

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Parks Funeral Home, 130 West 1st North Street, Summerville, SC 29483. Funeral Services will begin at 2 p.m. in Parks Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Summerville Cemetery.
