James "Jim" Doherty Obituary

James “Jim” Patrick Doherty, 58, of Summerville passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 16, 2024.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, May 24, 2024 at 1 o’clock at Saint John the Beloved Catholic Church, 28 Sumter Avenue, Summerville, SC 29483. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to Parks Funeral Home for the funeral services of Jim Doherty. 

Jim was born on August 30, 1965 in New York, New York. He and his family owned Summerville Appliance Repair where he got to make a huge impact on the community with his step son. Jim was very faithful in his Catholic religion. He also enjoyed music, motorcycles, and most importantly spending time with his family. He will be missed dearly by many.

Jim is survived by his loving wife, Andrea Doherty of Summerville, SC; step-son, Brett Warren of Summerville, SC; brother, John Doherty of Summerville, SC, Ed Doherty of Grand Rapids, MI, Will Doherty of New York; sister, Anne Gerdes of Darrtown, OH.
