Jean B Utnick

Jean B. Utnick, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully in her home on October 5, 2025.

Jean lived a vibrant and spirited life, filled with laughter, love, and a deep appreciation for the people around her. In her younger years, she found joy in the camaraderie of her pool league, dancing with friends at the "Honkey Tonk," and line dancing to her favorite tunes. Her zest for life and her warm, generous spirit touched everyone she met.

Jean was preceded in death by her loving parents, Foster and Ada Blakley; her devoted husband, Bill Utnick Sr.; and her daughter, Jessie Sims. She is survived by her children, Dell (Sheri) Miles and Wendy Powell; her step-son, Bill Utnick Jr. (Jennifer); and her dear brother, Legrand Blakley (Linda).

Jean played a special role in the lives of her grandchildren, especially Shae Moon (Ernie) and Amber Davis (Kevin), whom she lovingly raised. She also helped raise her great-granddaughter, Payton Sims, and shared a close bond with her grandson, Jack Miles, who lived with her. Jean was a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren and eleven step-grandchildren, and a doting great-grandmother to ten great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly.

Her legacy is one of kindness, compassion, and unwavering support for those she held close. Jean’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, and her spirit will continue to inspire those who knew her.

A celebration of Jean’s life will be held at Parks Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at 2:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to attend and honor the beautiful life she lived.
