Jeffrey Scott Powell, 70, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2024.
A Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 3 o’clock to 5 o’clock at Parks Funeral Home, 130 West 1st North Street, Summerville, SC 29483. Flowers are accepted, or memorials can be made in honor of Jeffrey to Dorchester Paws, 136 4 Paws Lane, Summerville, SC 29483.
Jeffrey was born on May 6, 1953 in Stilwell, OK. He served his country for many years as a U.S. Navy Veteran. After leaving the Navy, Jeffrey started driving trucks with the Conway Southern Express Company. He had an amazing work ethic, and driving trucks was his passion that he’d continue to do for many years. Jeffrey loved everything outdoors, you could find him boating, fishing, going on a hike, or riding his bicycle. He was an animal lover, and had many during his lifetime. Poodle and Charlie were the ones that were the closest to his heart. Most importantly, Jeffrey loved his children and his grandchildren and he will be missed dearly by many.
Jeffrey is survived by his daughters, Allison Tucci, Jennifer Jackson; son in laws, Don Tucci, Alan Jackson; step-father, Bob Miller, sisters, Hope Ritter, Patty McGinnis, Meredith Jones, Mendi Dancer; two grandchildren, Tansley and Savanna; along with many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his mother, Betty Miller; grandmother, Donna Shaw; sister, Janis Robinson; and brother, Robin Miller.
