It is with deep sorrow that we share the passing of Jerry Wayne Call, born on August 6th, 1958, in West Columbia SC.
Jerry grew up in Hanahan, SC and lived life to the fullest. He pursued his lifelong passions for creating custom cars and motorcycles, winning awards along the way. He cherished his family, friends and animals. Jerry had a zest for life, wore his heart on his sleeve, and deeply loved those around him.
Jerry entered into eternal rest on April 24th, 2025. He was preceded in death by his father, John David Call (1975), his mother, Ruby Mae Call (2019), and his brothers, Obed Floyd Call (Buddy) and Eddie Lee Call.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Rita Brooks; his daughter, Maria Whack and her spouse, Eric Whack; his granddaughter, Destyny Coombs; his grandson, Noah Whack and great grandchildren, Miles and Raven Coombs. He is also survived by his siblings: Larry Call, Donnie Call, Genia Jones, Tennia Dinkelbach, Anita Coward, and Johnnie-Len Richards, their spouses, as well as many nieces and nephews. Additionally, Jerry leaves behind his most trusted friend, Peanut.
Jerry will forever live in our hearts and will be loved and missed equally by all who knew him.
Memorial Services will be Saturday afternoon, May 3, 2025 at 1 o'clock in Parks Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in his name to Dorchester Paws.
