Jessie Mae (Moore) Brooks

Jessie Mae Moore Brooks, 97, widow of Lester “L.B” Brooks, of Lebanon Community, passed away on Friday morning, November 5, 2021, at her home.

Jessie was born in Lebanon, South Carolina on September 29, 1924. She was the daughter of Edward B. Moore and Effie Hill Moore. She enjoyed working in retail during her younger years and working in her yard.

She was a loving mother to 3 daughters. Jessie is survived by her daughters, Diane Carson and Sharon Harley (Fred); her grandsons, Gene “Bucky” Carson, II (Lisa), Larry Dean Rudd and Chadwick Gibson, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Brooks; her daughter, Rita Bazzle Brazzel; grandson, Kevin Carson; sisters, Bertha Welch and Louise Hill; brothers, Cleveland Moore, Reid Moore, Victor Moore, and James “Ted” Moore and her son in law, Gene Carson.
