John David "Grumps" Hester Sr., 71, of Summerville, SC, passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2021.

No services will be held at this time. Memorials can be made to the American Heart Association.

John was born June 25, 1949 in San Antonio, TX. He was the son of James B. and Marijon Hester. He was a Pilot for the US Army. He loved billiards and spending time with his grandkids.

John is survived by his mother, Marijon Hester of Summerville; son, John Hester Jr., of Midway; daughter in law, Melissa Hester of Midway and his brother, Mitch Hester of Florence. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his father, James B Hester.
