Joseph Daniel Smack, Sr., 86, of Summerville passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2024.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024 at 11 o’clock at Beaufort National Cemetery, 1601 Boundary St, Beaufort, SC 29902. The family will receive friends the night before for a visitation from 6 o’clock to 8 o’clock at Parks Funeral Home, 130 West 1st North Street, Summerville, SC 29483. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in honor of Joseph to the Multiple Sclerosis Association, www.mymsaa.org or Dorchester Paws, 136 Four Paws Ln, Summerville, SC 29483.
Joseph was born on January 3, 1938 to the late Daniel and Bertha Smack. For many years Joseph served his country as a transportation specialist in the U.S. Airforce. He loved to golf, travel, and go camping. Joseph also was a part of the Veterans of Foreign Wars post 3433.
Joseph is survived by his loving wife, Kim Smack of Summerville, SC; son, Joseph D. Smack, Jr. (Julie) of Wilmington, DE; daughters, Cynthia Lewis (Cory) of Hanahan, SC, Tamara Albom (Mark) of Wilmington, DE; brother, Leslie Smack of Weslaco, TX; along with 2 grandchildren, Aaron and Jacob Albom both of Wilmington, DE.
