Judy Delk Hunt

Judy Delk Hunt, 65, of Summerville, SC, wife of John Richard Hunt, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2022.

Funeral Services will be Saturday afternoon, April 30, 2022 at 1 o’clock in Parks Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 12 o’clock noon until the time of service at the funeral home. Private burial will be at a later date in Plantation Memorial Gardens. Flowers will be accepted.

Judy was born October 1, 1956 in Charleston, SC, a daughter of the late Jack and Becky Delk. She moved away from the Charleston area a few times in life but always had a calling to return home. A true southern woman who loved to cook and socialize with friends and family.

Judy was a loving person with a heart of gold. As a participant in women’s ministries and bible studies, she mentored and loved others unconditionally. She was a loyal wife to her high school sweetheart for 46 years. Being a wife, mother and grandmother was her calling on this earth. She loved God and her family with her entire heart and soul. Although her family and friends are sad to have lost her, they have peace knowing she is whole and resting in the healing arms of Jesus with her daughter, mother, and father by her side. She will be missed by so many.

In addition to her husband, John Hunt of Summerville, SC, Judy leaves behind her son, Jeremy Hunt (Julia) of Jefferson, GA; daughter, Joyanna Hunt Sherwood (Robert) of Inman, SC; brother, Terry Delk (Karen) of Summerville, SC; sister, Brenda Delk Cooke (Robert) of Raleigh, NC; sister-in-law, Lily Hunt Seel (Jimmy); and four grandchildren, Chloe, Jessica, James, and Sol. She was predeceased by her parents and a daughter, Jenny Hunt Brown.
