Julianna Simmons Cannon passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at her home in Mount Pleasant, SC.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life drop in between 2 o'clock and 5 o'clock on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at the home of Sterling Hannah, 542 Blackstrap Retreat, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464.
Juli grew up in Summerville, helping form an exceptionally close-knit family with four siblings. She made life-long friends as a nurse at MUSC, was a member of the Dragonboat Charleston paddling community, and worked to end preventable blindness and eye disease around the world with ORBIS. Her greatest accomplishment was her daughter Lily. Juli's adventurous spirit and loving nature endeared her to so many. She loved to laugh and her laughter was a comfort to all who knew her, even while bravely facing her own adversities.
She is preceded by her mother, Elizabeth Simmons and her brother, Jim Simmons.
She is survived by her father, James Simmons of Summerville, her daughter Lily, Lily's father Robbie, embraced daughter Ivy, and sisters Debra Baker (Eugene), Elizabeth Sullivan, and Lisa Simmons; nieces and nephews Juli (Kurt) Cornett, Bubba (Joan) Baker, Sims and Annabeth Simmons, Walker and Mae Simmons; great nephews Jack and Hudson Cornett, and many fond aunts, uncles and cousins.
