Kenneth Frederick Shelley, Jr., 79, of Summerville, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024. The relatives and friends of Kenneth Shelley are invited to attend his Memorial Service at 12 Noon, Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at Parks Funeral Home, 130 W. 1st North Street, Summerville, SC 29483. Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Kenneth was born in McRae Georgia on September 28, 1944. He was the son of Kenneth and Dorothy Shelley, Sr. He proudly served our country in the United States Navy and the United States Army and was a machinist by trade. He enjoyed working in the yard, riding in the golf cart, fishing, traveling and tinkering. Kenneth is survived by his son, Dale Allen Shelley; step daughter, Tamra L. Boan; step sons, Martin Lee Johnson and Bruce Wayne Johnson; Grandchildren, Amarise Johnson, Caesar Johnson, Chanel Boan, Amber Boan, Heather Furr, Kenny Johnson and Edward LaPoint Jr.; great grandchildren, Abby Spires, Chloe Ridley and Logan Ridley and his nieces and nephews, Lisa Shelley, Casey Sayre, Lindsey Rumley, Jason Shelley, Whittney Rumley, Dane Rumley, Ashton Magaha and Arron Autry. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cassandra Lynn Main; step daughter, Beth Ann LaPoint; granddaughter, Tinesha M. Melling and his siblings, Jackie Shelley and Leonard Shelley.
