Kevin Wiggins

N. MYRTLE BEACH, SC - Kevin Lenare Wiggins passed away peacefully after a short illness on March 3, 2024, in N. Myrtle Beach.  Kevin was born December 16, 1971, in Charleston, SC, the son of the late Deborah Sales Edge of N. Myrtle Beach and the late Douglas L. Wiggins of Ridgeville, SC.  A Celebration of Life will be held at Dorchester Boat Club in Summerville on Saturday, April 6 at 5:00 p.m.  We invite you to wear Clemson “orange.”

Some of Kevin’s remains were donated through Sharing Hope SC (a federally designated Organ Procurement Organization which facilitates life-saving organ and life-enhancing  donations across the state). 

Kevin graduated from Summerville H.S. and attended Trident Technical College and Clemson University.  He was an ardent “Tiger” fan and animal lover.  He was a fun-loving person, always smiling, always ready to share a laugh.    

In addition to his parents, Kevin was also predeceased by his grandparents Belva (Knight) and Frank Smith of Ridgeville, William (Bill) Sales of Goose Creek, and Belle (Gruber) and William Wiggins Jr. of Givhans; and aunt and uncle Priscilla and Ed Souza of W. Palm Beach, FL.          

Kevin is survived by his stepfather Bob Edge, stepsister Tanya Edge, stepbrother Brad Edge, all of N. Myrtle Beach, and stepmother Edith Wiggins of Ridgeville.  He is also survived his great-uncles Vernie Knight Jr.  (Sherrell, deceased) and Everett Knight Sr. (Jane) of Summerville, great-aunt Linda K. Hallex (Charles) of Edisto Island; uncles George Wiggins (Nancy, deceased)  of Summerville, Wayne Wiggins, and Ronnie Wiggins (Diane, deceased) of Ridgeville; aunts Sylvia W. Pierce (Paul, deceased) of Pryor, OK, and Lyndia W. Coppa (John) of Moncks Corner; and numerous friends and Charpia, Knight and Wiggins cousins.  He also leaves his beloved rescue bulldog, Gracie.  

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Dorchester Paws, 136 Four Paws Lane, Summerville, SC  29483.
