Laura Elizabeth Bernadette Ireland, 67, of Summerville, SC, wife of Donald Clark Ireland, passed away Monday, December 25, 2023 at her home.
You are invited to celebrate her Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday morning, December 30, 2023 at 11 o’clock at Saint John the Beloved Catholic Church, 28 Sumter Avenue, Summerville. The rite of committal will follow in Dorchester Memory Gardens, 11000 Dorchester Road in Summerville. Visitation will be Friday afternoon from 2 o’clock until 4 o’clock at Parks Funeral Home in the Parlor, with the rosary following in the funeral home chapel. Flowers will be accepted.
Laura was born December 19, 1956 in Long Beach, CA, the daughter of Gilbert Ronald Lisk and Patricia Hope Lehmann. She worked as a Human Resources Manager and was a devout Catholic.
In addition to her husband, Don Ireland of Summerville, Laura leaves behind her children, Jeremy Waters (Jenni) of Menifee, CA, Karey Waters of Twentynine Palms, CA, Alicia Tyra Hunter (Brandon) of Goose Creek, SC, Renee Tyra Elek (Matthew) of Goose Creek, SC, and stepson, Daniel Ireland (Tiffany) of Hurricane, UT; grandchildren, Justice Achtemeier (Curtis), Devin Anderson (Brad), Steven “Chet” Nixon (Kelsey), Michael Waters-Whaley, Brandon and Alyssa Brown, Landon and Derek Hunter, Charizma, Maverick, and Bennett Elek, and Bentley, Byron, Kole, Lydia, and Melodie Ireland; great-grandchildren, Roman and Rylee Achtemeier and Indiana and Wesley Anderson, and Jaylen Espinosa; siblings, Cynthia Lisk Goebel (Charlie) of Sparks, NV, and their children, Michele, Shaun, Shannon, and Laura, and Jennifer Lisk of Hemet, CA.
