Laura Iris Rivera, 56, of Goose Creek, SC, loving companion of Sheila Samuel, passed away Sunday, October 13, 2024.

Laura was born December 14, 1967 in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of the late Angel and Carmen Rivera. She loved doing makeup and nails, supporting small businesses while doing so. She was an amazing cook and skillful in not only Puerto Rican dishes, but many other different cuisines. She was an animal lover and loved her pets like her own family. She touched many lives and will be greatly missed.
In addition to her partner, Sheila Samuel of Goose Creek, SC, Laura leaves behind her son, Justin Alexander Rivera of Florence, SC; daughter, Stephanie Alexandra Rivera of Charleston, SC; and two grandchildren, Alexandra Nyeli Rivera and Isaiah Alexander Rivera, both of Charleston, SC. She is predeceased by her parents, Angel and Carmen Rivera; her youngest daughter, Arianna Rivera; and two brothers, Angel “Pete” Rivera and Johnny Rivera.
