Linda Rose Cook, 77, of Summerville, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2025. Born on February 12, 1948, in Ridgeland, SC, and raised in Hampton, SC, Linda was known throughout her life for her warm heart, love of the outdoors, and deep devotion to her family.
Affectionately known as “Rose” in her younger years, Linda brought a quiet strength and gentle spirit to everything she did. Before her illness, she found her greatest joys in the simple pleasures of life — working in her yard, relaxing at the beach or lake, and shopping trips with her daughter, her cherished “partner in crime.” Above all, Linda adored her granddaughters and took pride in being their biggest cheerleader and supporter. Her love for them was endless and unwavering.
Linda is survived by her devoted husband, Wilson “Carlton” Cook, with whom she shared 61 years of marriage; her daughter, Connie Cook Wilson (Ricky); her son, Chris Cook; and her beloved granddaughters, Hannah and Emily Wilson. She is also survived by her sister, Vicki Monical.
She was preceded in death by siblings, James Blankenship, Grady Blankenship, and Brenda Middleton.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at 11:30 AM in Parks Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Dorchester Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends in the Chapel from 10:30 AM until the time of service.
