Louise Marks Locklair, 94, wife of the late William Locklair, Sr., of Summerville, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024. All services will be private. Louise was born in Charleston, South Carolina on October 18, 1929. She was the daughter of Chrysostom and Louise Marks.
Louise, fondly known to family and friends as “Sissie”, worked for her husband’s family business as a secretary/bookkeeper. After retiring, she worked part time for the credit bureau in Summerville. Sissie spent the majority of her life in Summerville at a time when everyone knew each other. She loved to talk to people and never met a stranger. She loved her beloved cat “Baby” who will be with her for all eternity, football and Nascar. The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses, therapists and caregivers who helped care for her over the years.
Sissie is survived by her daughter, Susan Locklair Rahn (Oliver) of Summerville, SC; her son, William T.J. Locklair, Jr. (Danette) of Lake Lure, NC; her grandchildren, Erin, Justin and Stefan; her great grandchildren, Dylan, Parker and Olivia as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sisters, Patricia Skipper and Andree Dordick and her nephew Michael Skipper.
