My heart is overwhelmed with grief and inconsolable sorrow from the passing of my best friend and companion of 50 years, Louise Yancy Bannevich, 68, of North Charleston, passed away on July 1, 2024. Louise suffered two strokes in 2009 and was bed-ridden until her death. She loved Jesus and enjoyed her favorite Gospel songs everyday but never complained about the damage the stokes did to her. She was an awesome companion, but an even better human being.
She lived in Charleston all her life and was loved and admired by almost everyone who knew her. Louise was one of five children born to P.H. and Lois Livingston and was born in Charleston, South Carolina on October 23, 1955. Her siblings are Philip Livingston, David Livingston, Diane Nathans, and Tammy Renee. She is survived by her son Cody Bannevich and his wife Ashley, their son and Louise's grandson, Jackson. She is also sorely missed by her deceased son's wife, Kristen, and their son and Louise's grandson, Tyler and Marvins daughter. Amy Yancy.
She is also survived by her brothers and their wives, Philip and Sara Livingston, as well as David and Ronnie Livingston. She will be greatly missed by her nieces Tesscia Svenningsen, Stacey Livingston, and Angie Whitworth. In addition, she is survived by her nephews Matthew Livingston. David Livingston, Jr., Harrison Livingston, and Forest Boler.
The relatives and friends of Louise Bannevich Yancy are invited to attend her Funeral Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at Parks Funeral Home, 130 W. 1st North Street, Summerville, SC 29483.
