Lucille Sue Limehouse, loving wife of Richard W Limehouse, Sr for 72 years, died after an extended illness at the age of 92 on April 30, 2023.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday afternoon, May 3, 2023 at 12 o’clock noon in Summerville Baptist Church. Burial will follow in White Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 o’clock until the time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Summerville Baptist Church Missions Fund or South Carolina Baptist Disaster Relief.
A life-long resident of Summerville, SC, Lucille was the daughter of the late Johnnie & Janie Williams. She is preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Lewis Williams, Annie Belle Smith, Ulyssese Salvo, Harold Williams, and Shelly Williams and her first-born grandson, Jason Limehouse.
Surviving in addition to her husband are her children Rick (Flo) of Chandler, TX, Finley (Louise) of Beech Island, SC, and Sandra (Ricky) Allred of Concord, NC. Also surviving are her beloved grandchildren Paul, Deanna, Sarah, Tim, and John and her 10 great-grandchildren.
As a child, Lucille confessed her sincere faith in the redeeming work of Jesus Christ at Summerville Baptist Church where she remained an active member until death. Lucille retired from the Dorchester County School District as a media specialist. She was a past officer of the Flowertown Garden Club and member of the South Carolina Iris Society.
Born the first year of the Great Depression. Married during the Cold War. Mother of three Baby Boomers. World traveler. Amateur horticulturist. Avid reader. Lucille lived a full and productive life and will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends.
Great thanks are given to her church family and friends along with two special nephews, Mike (Peggy) Smith and Cliff (Cookie) Williams who showed loving attention to her in her later years.
