Marion Woodrow Hoats Jr.

Marion Woodrow Hoats, Jr., 72, of Summerville, SC passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2023.

A Memorial Service will be Thursday afternoon, September 14, 2023 at 3 o’clock in Parks Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be private. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6 o’clock until 8 o’clock at Parks Funeral Home.

Marion was born in Summerville, SC on September 12, 1950. He was the son of Marion Woodrow Hoats, Sr. and Virgie Geneva Hoats. He was a member of Boone Hill United Methodist Church and a graduate of Summerville High School class of 1968. He was an avid hunter, loved drag racing; especially watching his son but most of all loved spending time with his granddaughters.

Marion leaves behind his wife, Brenda Gail Hoats; daughter, Regina Hoats (Wally) and son, Bo Hoats (Karen); brother, Wayne Hoats and sisters, Brenda Rogers (Allen) and Rose Sweat (Randy); and four granddaughters, McKenzie, Raelyn, Emersyn and Willow. He is predeceased by his parents Marion Woodrow Hoats, Sr. and Virgie Geneva Hoats.
