Marjorie P. Bowman, 90, of Summerville, SC, formerly of Cranford, NJ, wife of the late Roy Bowman, passed away on Monday, July 24, 2023.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 29, 2023, 8:00 AM at Dooley Funeral Home, 218 N. Ave. W., Cranford, NJ 07016. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM. Burial will immediately follow at Fairview Cemetery and Arboretum, 1100 E. Broad St., Westfield, NJ 07090.

Marjorie was born October 30, 1932 in Bronx, NY, daughter of the late Matthew and Barbara Schwebius Postich. She was a much beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend and will be greatly missed. She loved to read, play bridge, hand and foot as well as dabble in the stock market. She also loved spending time enjoying a cup of tea and a piece of cake with family and friends or watching her New York Mets! She was a communicant of St. Michael’s Church. She was a member of the Rosary Society, the Junior Women’s group and the VIA Ladies.

She is survived by her children; Leigh Peters (David), Summerville, SC; Keith Bowman (Karen), Stow, MA; Peter Bowman, Parlin, NJ; Timothy Bowman (Karla), Euclid, OH; Mark Bowman (Amie), Warrenton, VA; 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her 4 sisters. Marjorie was blessed with many wonderful neighbors and friends that supported her in so many ways. Also, her family would like to thank the many caregivers that took such great care of her for the last several months. Flowers will be accepted.
