Martha Ruth Kirker Jones, 94, of Summerville, SC, passed away Friday April 28, 2023 at the Village of Summerville.
Services will be private.
Martha was born December 10, 1928 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of The Reverend Fredrick and Irma Kirker. She grew up in Columbus, Ohio and graduated from Ohio State University. She married Hartl Richard Jones. After receiving her Masters in Library Science Martha researched and published the History of Bensenville, Illinois.
Hartl and Martha moved to Summerville, SC where Martha was active with the Timrod Library serving as President.
Martha is preceded in death by her husband Hartl. Surviving are her daughter Bronwyn Leach of Springfield; son, Kirk Jones and daughter-in-law Melody of Tybee Island, GA
