Mary Ellen Nix Peeples, 62, wife of Tommy L. Peeples, of Ridgeville, passed away on Wednesday, August, 23, 2023. The relatives and friends of Mary Ellen Peeples are invited to attend her Funeral Service at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at New Journey Community Church, 539 Highway 78, Ridgeville. Burial will follow in Cummings Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until the time of service on Tuesday, in the church. Mary Ellen was born in Nashville, Tennessee on October 10, 1960. She was the daughter of Aaron and Mary Nix. She was a team truck driver with her husband for many years, whom she loved taking care of. Mary also enjoyed doing puzzles and baking and decorating cakes for her family and friends. Mary is survived by her husband of 42 years, Tommy L. Peeples; children, Mark Peeples and Tanya Knight; grandchildren, Kasey and Emily Knight; 4-legged son, Bandit; siblings, Aaron Nix (Laurie) and Roberta Taylor (JC); nieces, Doris Cumbee Allston (Will) and Christina Cumbee; and nephews, David Wiggins (Cassandra), Phillip Jones, Jason Nix (Mandy) and Robert Nix (Andrea). She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Ellen Nix; sisters, Diane Wiggins and Jean Cumbee; nephew, Lee Wiggins and her son in law, Jeffrey Knight.
