Mary "Winnie" Wilkie Obituary
Mary “Winnie” Heins Wilkie of Summerville, SC died peacefully on October 24, 2023.
Born in Kingstree, SC and raised on her family’s farm, Winnie was a cheerleader for Kingstree High School and later attended Southern Missionary College in Chattanooga, TN. She worked at the Pentagon in Washington DC before she met her late husband, Bill Wilkie, who she loved dearly. She was very funny and could tell wonderful stories of growing up on a farm and later her adventures of owning and operating a fruit and vegetable stand in St.Mary’s, GA.
She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie; sons, Billy and Edward; grandchildren, Melissa and Christian; great grandchildren, Hannah, Addie, and Lucy; her sisters, Anne Koenig, Alice Eatmon, and Ginny Gee; and brother, Beau Gee.
