Matthew Thomas Clark, of Moncks Corner, South Carolina, passed away on April 18, 2026, just days before his 79th birthday.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at 4 o’clock at Ridge Church Cemetery, 2168 Ridge Church Road, Summerville, SC 29483. The family will receive friends for a visitation from 2 o’clock to 3 o’clock on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at Parks Funeral Home.
Born on April 21, 1947, and raised in Summerville, South Carolina, Matthew was the son of the late Matthew David Clark and Margaret Louise Clark. He graduated from Summerville High School in 1968, where he spent years playing football and running track.
He was a proud Vietnam War veteran who served his country with honor and carried that same quiet strength throughout his life. He later worked at Bosch Charleston where he met his beloved wife, Pricilla. Matthew found his greatest joy in being with his family. He will be remembered for his steady nature, his dedication, and the simple, meaningful ways he showed up for the people he loved.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Frances Feaster; and his brothers, Marion Clark, Harry Clark, Heyward Clark, and Leon Clark.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Pricilla Clark; his son, Brent Sitton (Shana); his grandchildren, Allie Sitton and Zack Sitton; and many other cherished family members and friends.
