Matthew James Kurowski

Matthew James Kurowski, 55, husband of Leigh LaPlante, of Summerville, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at Parks Funeral Home, 130 W. 1st North Street, Summerville, SC 29483. In lieu of flowers, the family requests you make memorial donations in Matthew’s name to a charity of your choice.

Matthew was born in S. St. Paul, Minnesota, on March 13, 1969. He was the son of Ronald and Linda Kurowski. He was a loyal Dallas Cowboys and Jeff Gordon fan, enjoyed golfing, softball, and shrimping off the coast of Charleston. Matt will be truly missed by all his family and friends.

Matt is survived by his wife, Leigh; his mother, Linda R. Kurowski; his brother, Mark A. Kurowski; nieces, Alexa N. Gailloux and Mackenzie A. Kurowski and nephew, Markus K. Kurowski. He is also survived by many extended family members throughout the country from Washington to Florida, Minnesota to Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his brother, Kevin J. Kurowski; his father, Ronald J. Kurowski; grandparents, Jimmie and Roy Peace and Rita and Donald Kurowski and aunt Pat Peace.
