Michael Morris Obituary

Michael Edward Morris, 73, of Ladson, SC, passed away at his residence on Thursday, April 2, 2026.

Mike was born on September 19, 1952, in Woodbury, NJ.  He was the son of the late Edward and Helen Ogden Morris.

Mike retired from the US Navy, where he served his country with pride. He served 2 tours in Vietnam while aboard a submarine. He was also a member of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary for 15 years. Mike was a member of the AM Vets and a lifetime member of the VFW in Ladson, SC. 

Mike is survived by his wife, JoyAnn Morris; daughters, Michelle Sodeman (Greg), Shannon Lanfear, and Heather Delafuente (Cory); brother, Stephen Morris; sisters, Susan Johnson (Charley) and Diane Abbott (Bruce); niece, Nichole Miller, and Nephew, Edward Morris (Brandy). He also had 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, April 10, 2026, at Plantation Memorial Gardens, 3345 S. Live Oak Drive, Moncks Corner, SC 29461.
