Mickey Gerald Blackwell, 66, of Summerville passed away on August 7, 2025.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at 2 o’clock at Parks Funeral Home, 130 West 1st North Street, Summerville, SC 29483. 

Mickey was born on July 6, 1959 in Charlotte, NC. He had a passion for woodworking, enjoyed times on the water, and loved the outdoors; especially hunting. Known for his free spirit, Mickey brought joy to those around him. Above all, he cherished his family beyond measure.

Mickey is survived by his mother, Rosamond Blackwell of Summerville, SC; sons, Mickey Gerald Blackwell, Jr. of Summerville, SC, George Wesley Alford (Crystal) of Summerville, SC; daughter, Ellen Manus (Trey) of Summerville, SC; brother, Brad Blackwell (Lona) of Summerville, SC; along with 6 grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. . He is predeceased by his loving wife, Cheryl Anne Blackwell; and father, Gerald "Jerry" E. Blackwell.
