Mirtha Shideler Obituary
Mirtha Torres Shideler, 88, of Summerville, SC passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at her residence.
A Prayer Service will be Saturday afternoon, May 3, 2025 at 2:30 PM in the parlor at Parks Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be made to St. John the Beloved Catholic Church, 28 Sumter Avenue, Summerville, SC. Burial will be Monday, May 5, 2025 at 2 o’clock in Crown Memorial Park, 9620 Rodney Street, Pineville, NC 28134.
Mirtha was born June 3, 1936 in Havana, Cuba. She was a member of the Flight Attendant Association and love Cuban music and cooking Cuban food. She cherished her time spent with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She leaves behind her sons, Richard Shideler (Cindy) of Summerville, SC and Michael Shideler of Ft. Myers, FL; sister, Juana Torres of Cape Coral, FL; nine grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband, Leon Shideler; parents, Jose and Maria Aguabella Torres; her daughter, Theresa Shideler; and her beloved fur baby, Coco.
