Nickie Wescoat Obituary
Nickie Palassis Wescoat, 84, of Summerville, SC, widow of the late Thomas Gordon Wescoat, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at Lowcountry Community Hospice House.
Memorial Services will be Saturday morning, April 18, 2026 at 11 o’clock at Old St. Andrew’s Parish Church, 2604 Ashley River Rd, Charleston. A private family burial will be at a later date in Summerville Cemetery. Flowers are accepted.
Nickie was born January 6, 1942 in Charleston, SC. She worked as a cosmetologist for over 60 years. Nickie loved shagging, drawing, shopping, and cooking. She cherished time spent with her family and enjoyed being at the beach.
She leaves behind her daughter, Nancye Charpia (Troy) of Summerville, SC; brothers, John Palassis and Teddy Palassis (Rene), both of Charleston, SC; sisters, Stacey Buck of Charleston, SC, Fotine Milligan (Eddie) of Florence, SC, and Deborah Trego (Alan) of Charleston, SC; her grandchildren, Grayson Charpia (Hannah) of Clemson, SC and Emily Charpia of Summerville, SC; and great-grandchildren, Oliver and Lily. In addition to her late husband, Thomas Wescoat, Nickie is predeceased by a brother, George Palassis; and her parents, Nick Palassis and Willie Lou Palassis.
