Patricia Kletter Obituary

Patricia R. Kletter, 73, wife of Fred Kletter, of Summerville, passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2024.

The relatives and friends of Patricia Kletter are invited to attend her Funeral Service at 1:00 PM, Saturday, July 13, 2023 at Parks Funeral Home Chapel, 130 W. 1st North Street, Summerville, SC 29483. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until the time of service on Saturday. Flowers are accepted or memorial donations may be made to MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital.

Patricia was born in Syracuse, New York on October 11, 1950. She was the daughter of Kenneth and Antonetta Rose. Patricia was 1 of 6 children. She found joy in the little things life had to offer, and was in love with art. Patricia loved pottery, jewelry making or anything that kept her hands busy. She found the love of her life at Brockport State College and lived 52 amazing years together and had two children which were the lights of her life. Patricia loved to take care of others before thinking of herself. She wore many hats; from being a waitress, party clown, a teacher, and teaching ceramics at Camp DeBaun, all for the sake of making her children's lives easier and brighter.

Patricia’s older sister Kathy said, “Patti was an angel who walked the earth.” Her younger brother Don Rose said, “Whenever I hear the term young at heart, she always has been my first thought, she has influenced me in so many good ways.” Patricia’s sister Annette said “Patti was such a happy person, a very talented artist, great mother and wife, we had so much fun and love growing up.”  Her sister Mary said, “Patti was a very loyal sibling who was never afraid to come to the aid and defend us. She was an accomplished ceramicist who made beautiful hand-built pieces with organic details. Most of all, she was very modest about her artistic talents and community involvement. It made people feel honored to have known her.” Her older brother Bobby said, “One good memory of my sister was that she was well loved around the neighborhood at any age of her life. Whenever my friends would come over to play basketball, Patti would also trail along with us and once when we were all at to the basketball court, my friends, who were older than Patti, would say they wanted Patti to play over me. So, I would be sitting on the sideline watching my little sister play with my friends. Just a fun memory.”

Patti is survived by her husband, Fred Kletter (73); children, Josh Kletter (42) and Cassidy Kletter (37); daughter in law, Rosemary Kletter; granddaughter, Madison Rose Kletter; sisters, Kathy, Mary and Annette; brothers, Bobby and Donald; brother in Law, Mark Kletter; nieces, Jeni, Lauren and Erin and nephews, Sean, David, Judd and Grant. She is predeceased by her parents, Kenneth and Antonetta Rose; nephew, Jeffery Rose; in-Laws, Louis and Hilda Kletter and sister-In-Law Maureen Kletter.
