Paul Henry Sanders

Paul Henry Sanders, 80, of Summerville, SC passed away on Friday, June 21, 2024.

A Funeral service will be held on Saturday June 29, 2024 at 10:00 am at Parks Funeral Home, 130 W. 1st North St. Summerville, SC 29483.

Paul was born in Summerville, SC on August 17, 1943. He was the son of Ralph Sr. and Elizabeth Sanders. Mr. Sanders dedicated his life to children and their education.  He taught Industrial Arts at Alston Middle School for many years.  He left his teaching career to go into administration at Dubose Middle School, Alston Middle School, and Dorchester District Two Adult Education Program.  

He was often seen cheering on his grandsons at their sporting events.  Paul could also be found watching his granddaughter perform in musical theater productions and creative writing events. He was an avid vegetable gardener, bee keeper, hunter and fisherman.  

Paul is survived by his wife of 57 years Judy Lee Stidham Sanders, his three daughters Robin Collins (Gary), Kristi Latham (Michael), and Jennifer Carson (Shawn).  His pride and joy were his grandchildren: Zachary Latham, Andrew Latham, Matthew Latham, Jake Latham, Clara Collins, MacKay Collins, Michael Carson, and Henry Carson.  He is survived by his brother Ralph Sanders Jr. (Marlene) and numerous nephews and nieces.  In addition to his parents, Paul is predeceased by his sister Shelby Jean Sanders and his grandson Zachary Eric Latham.

The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to honor two of his grandsons.
