Paul Sefranka, 74, husband of Linda Sefranka, of Summerville, passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2023.
The relatives and friends of Paul Sefranka are invited to attend his Memorial Service at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at Parks Funeral Home Chapel, 130 W. 1st North Street, Summerville, SC 29483.
Paul was born in Rahway, New Jersey, on January 7, 1949. He was the son of John and Vera Sefranka. Paul graduated from Rahway High School, Rahway, New Jersey and Kean University with a BA in Marketing. He was a Corporal in the U.S. Army serving in the second platoon, Delta Company 5/60th Infantry, 9th Infantry Division at Rach Kien Vietnam in 1969 and retired as Marketing Manager from Prysmian Group. He also served as a Commissioner for the Construction of the New Jersey Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Holmdel, New Jersey and with the city of Rahway as a member of the Board of Adjustment, Parking Authority and Water and Sewage Authority.
He loved his family, friends, the New York Giants and New York Yankees. He loved his service dog, Arlo who in addition to providing physical support to him, brought him unconditional love and comfort. Paul loved to help people and make them smile or laugh. Paul was married to Linda for 42 years that were filled with love, laughter, joy and occasionally tears. They finished each other’s sentences, made each other laugh, held hands to the total embarrassment of their kids. They were one heart in two bodies.
He is survived by his wife, Linda A Sefranka; service dog and special friend, Arlo; sons, Scott Sefranka and Frank Whitfield Sefranka; grandchildren, Brayden Whitfield Sefranka and Dominic Whitfield Sefranka; niece, Lisa Sefranka; nephew, Jeffery Sefranka; sisters in law, Elizabeth Sefranka and Judy Pachnieski; brother-in-law, Tim Pachnieski and nephew Adam Pachnieski. He was preceded in death by his brother, John Sefranka Jr.
