Rebecca Sue Tanis, 68, of Ladson passed away peacefully on May 3, 2026.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at 5 o’clock at Parks Funeral Home, 130 West 1st North Street, Summerville, SC 29483. Flowers are accepted or memorials can be made in honor of Rebecca to the Wounded Warrior Project, https://support.woundedwarriorproject.org, or any SPCA of your choice.
Rebecca was born on January 13, 1958. She loved doing games, and gardening. For many years, Rebecca has created her life with her loving husband, James Tanis.
Rebecca is survived by her husband, James Tanis of SC; father, Tommy Gibbons SC; mother, Mildred Tibet of SC; step-mother, Emily Gibbons of SC; son, Alec Malcolm of CA; brothers, Kyle Gibbons of SC, Max Gibbons of TX; sister, Megan Arroyo of SC.
