Richard Dunn Obituary
Richard Thomas Dunn, 69, of Summerville, SC, loving husband of Marlene McLean Dunn, passed away Monday, December 2, 2024.
Richard was born February 2, 1955 in Newburgh, NY, a son of the late William Dunn and Jeanette Davis Dunn. He honorably served in the United States Navy and made an early retirement after nearly 20 years of service. He was a beekeeper at Boone Hall Plantation and taught groups about bees. He found joy in giving apiary lectures on the importance of beekeeping.
In addition to his wife, Marlene, of Summerville, SC, Richard leaves behind his son, Richard Thomas Dunn, Jr. of West Ashley, SC; daughter, Heather Marlene Dunn of James Island, SC; brothers, Alan Dunn of Simpsonville, SC and Robert Dunn of Kansas City, MO; sister, Stacy Tweedie of Dover, NH; and many nieces and nephews.
Richard will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
Graveside Services with military honors will be Friday afternoon, December 20, 2024 in Summerville Cemetery at 1 o'clock. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mr. Dunn's name may be made to any charity of your choice.
