Richard Dean Troutman, 87, passed into Jesus’ arms on May 16, 2025. He was born August 29, 1937 in Waynesville, NC. Predeceased by his parents, Benjamin Fred Troutman and Helen Cagle Troutman.
Mr. Troutman proudly served his country for 30 years as a Master Chief Mineman in the Navy. He also served in the Vietnam War.
He was a supporter and longtime member of Summerville Baptist Church. He also supported many charities, such as Samaritan’s Purse, St. Jude and others.
Mr. Troutman is survived by his devoted wife, Cecelia D. Troutman of Summerville, SC; daughters, Kimberly Newton of Easley, SC, Amy Berlanda of Summerville, SC; son, Matt Bogart of Summerville, SC; granddaughters, Katelin Kellet of Easley, SC, Laura Troutman of Easley, SC, Juliette Berlanda of Summerville, SC, and Natalie Berlanda of Summerville, SC; great granddaughter, Nylah Burton of Easley, SC; sister in laws, Andrea Dawson of Summerville, SC, Rachel Perlman of Madison, WI; brother in law, Mark Dawson of Summerville, SC and two cousins, Glenda Ferguson of Clyde, NC, and Michael Troutman of SC.
A private service will be held at a later date.
