Robert Eugene Malinoski

Robert Eugene (Gene) Malinoski, 68, of Summerville, passed away surrounded by family at Roper Hospital in Charleston, South Carolina on Friday, July 28, 2023 after a brief illness.

The relatives and friends of Robert Malinoski are invited to attend his Celebration of Life from 4-6 PM, Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Parks Funeral Home,  130 W. 1st North Street, Summerville, SC 29483.

Gene was born in Los Angeles, CA on September 29, 1954. He was the son of Robert Eugene Malinoski and Doris Ellington Pate. Gene retired from Giant Cement Company after 32 years of faithful service. He enjoyed fishing at Santee Lakes, golfing, gardening, relaxing in the pool, and camping with family and friends. Gene loved sporting events; he was a devout Carolina Gamecock and Dallas Cowboy fan.  He also coached his daughters’ softball teams and enjoyed attending his grandsons’ football games.  Gene was a passionate music connoisseur, a trivia guru for his friends and family.

Gene is survived by his wife of 21 years, Debbie Bolin Malinoski of Summerville; six children, Robbie Malinoski (Stacy) of Wilmington, NC, Claire Myers (Andy) of Jacksonville, FL, Brad Malinoski of Seattle, WA, Ashley Price (Reid) of Rock Hill, SC, Allison Epton (Tom) of Summerville, SC, and Scott Malinoski (Maggie) of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren, Nicole, Rob, Caleb, Jenna, Carmela, Lucy, Chase, Andrew, Emma, and Millie; as well as numerous beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews. 

Gene was predeceased by his parents and sister, Ginger Malinoski Hansen.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or a charity of one's choice.
