Roberta Ann McNeill, 84, of Walterboro passed away peacefully at her home on November 7, 2024.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at noon at St. John the Beloved Catholic Church, 28 Sumter Ave, Summerville, SC 29483. The rite of committal will follow the next day, Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at 1 o’clock at Savannah Catholic Cemetery, 1720 Wheaton Street, Savannah, GA 31404. Roberta was born to the late Robert and Bertha McLaughlin (Jones)on July 6, 1940, in Savannah, GA. She spent 64 wonderful years married to Elmer Ray McNeill, Sr. Roberta was a kind, selfless wife, mother, and friend who will be missed by many.
Roberta is survived by her loving husband, Elmer Ray McNeill, Sr. of SC; sons, Michael McNeill (Diane) of TX, Robert McNeill of NC, Elmer McNeill, Jr. of NC; daughters, Elizabeth Mahoney (Stephen) of GA, Karen Cherol (Dennis) of SC; grandchildren, Stephanie Mahoney, Curtiss Mahoney, Christopher Alexander Cherol, Dennis Andrew Cherol, Jr. (Carly), Louis Thomas Cherol III, Kelsey Cherol McManigal (Kyle), Brea Irene Cherol, Tara McNeill, Katie McNeill, Lauren Elizabeth Cannady; great-grandchildren, Annabelle, Dennis III, Leopold, Lydia, Kyle Jr., Caelan, Elowyn, Artemis, Jamie, Caden, Lacy Ann; brother-in-law, Boyd E. McNeill (Becky); sister-in-law, Rachel Womble; along with many loving nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, Robert and Bertha McLaughlin; sisters, Margaret Mary Miranda, and Patricia Hunter; and brother, James Thomas McLaughlin.
