Rose Marie Collins

Rose Marie Loadholt Collins, 90, of Summerville, SC, passed away on March 22, 2022, at home, surrounded by her family.

Funeral Services will be Tuesday morning, March 29, 2022 at 11 o’clock at Summerville Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Summerville Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6 o’clock until 8 o’clock at Parks Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials in her name may be made to Summerville Baptist Church, 417 Central Avenue, Summerville, SC 29483.

Born on September 6, 1931, in Ehrhardt, SC, Rosie was an awesome wife, mother, and friend to many. She retired after 28 years of serving as the Secretary of Summerville Elementary School.

She is survived by her three children: Jim (Karen) of Williston, SC; Rhonda (Paul) of Montgomery, AL; and Marc (Nancy) of Mount Pleasant, SC. Additionally, she is survived by eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 48 years, James Robert; her parents, Harry Adgel Loadholt and Eula Lee Kinard Loadholt; and her sister, Barbara “Bobbie” Medlin.

Rosie’s sweet, sweet spirit was evident to all who met and knew her. She loved doing for others and was loved by her family and her church family.

The family members would like to extend their deepest gratitude to those who participated in the service today and to those who have supported us throughout this journey with their presence, prayers, warm thoughts, and acts of kindness. God bless!
